N2 - Summary. This paper aims to provide an overview of the current state of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) management through adapted physical activity (APA). Scientific literature is used to highlight strategies for implementing interventions that include personalized and tailored physical activity programs, consistent with patients’ abilities, agreed upon with them, and effective in significantly slowing disease progression. Sports with characteristics suitable for adapting to different levels of disease severity are described, including the use of compensatory tools that allow participation even for patients with severely reduced muscle contractility. The concept of inclusive sport and its valuable outcomes is continuously linked to clinical contexts. Consequently, several factors converge to enhance the role of the kinesiologist and to develop innovative sports combinations capable of counteracting the disease, while also strengthening patients’ social and relational skills.
